This piece was inspired by midsummer in Newlands Valley, Cumbria. An original cyanotype made from wild flowers and grasses, with intricate hand stitched rose motif.

I have deliberately mounted the print to show the brush marks where the cyanotype solution was applied to the paper before exposure to rare Cumbrian sunlight.
This piece was chosen for the cover of Art Funds’s winter “What’s On” guide.
