The idea for this kit came about after an old school friend got in touch after many years and asked if she could adapt one of my original images for a needlepoint design. The result was a lovely piece of contemporary needlework, reflecting the original cyanotype.

Together we designed this kit which contains everything you need to make the purse and is suitable for beginners wanting to learn an absorbing and mindful pastime as well as more experienced stitchers looking for an artist designed project :

• Appletons crewel wool in 5 shades.

• Tapestry needle on hand printed card.

• Zweigart 14thread 100% cotton canvas (24x 19cm) .

• Zipped denim fabric purse to make up your finished piece.

• Colour coded chart and instruction card. (PLEASE NOTE: The kit is a COUNTED CROSS STITCH chart and is not printed on the canvas .This provides for a more accurate finished piece and a more satisfying sense of achievement!).

• Recycled card box to store your work in progress.
