The idea for this design came about after an old school friend got in touch after many years and asked if she could adapt one of my original images for a needlepoint design. The result was a lovely piece of contemporary needlework, reflecting the original cyanotype.

Together we designed a kit which contains everything you need to make the purse and is suitable for beginners wanting to learn an absorbing and mindful pastime. But if you are a more experienced stitcher looking for an artist designed project this PDF chart and instructions means you can use your own supplies ( You will need 8 skeins of Appleton crewel wool in 5 shades / 14 count zweigart canvas, size 20 tapestry needle and optional blank purse to complete the project)
