Northern Exposure

Well this was exciting and terrifying and unusual! I haven’t watched the episode yet but if you like swimming, squirrels, poetry, art and beautiful landscape you can watch it on iPlayer here… https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000n23h/countryfile-the-lake-district and let me know what you think. Apparently Polly’s hair steals the show during her wonderful swimming scenes in Grasmere.

I wrote a blog post about how it happened that a little known hermit from half way up a mountain ended up completely out of her comfort zone and how it was actually good fun.

After a day packing books at the bookshop I’m busy packing a few orders of my own that have been prompted by being seen on the telly so I have massive respect and thanks for Max the BBC researcher, Chris the cameraman and Joe the presenter. People who know me know that I would never seek this kind of exposure but if it helps keep the wolf from the door I’m very grateful. Maybe I’ll watch with the sound off!
